Just a Beginning of a Lifetime Adventure

Iwona Podlasinska is from Poland, married with two beautiful sons. She had always been a very creative person, like to draw and paint since she was a child and loved taking photos. She’s an architect and did lot of sketches at the University.

When she was pregnant with her second son, she decided to spend her pregnancy at home. She loved to spend time with her kids but eventually started feeling that something is missing in her life. And one day she discovered some beautiful inspiring photos online and knew she found what she was looking for. she wanted to chase her dream again.

Photography was in her life since she was a child. She remembers her parents taking photos of Iwona and her brother with a Zenit Camera and developing those themselves by changing their bathroom into a darkroom. Iwona wanted to capture her kids childhood memories in the most lovely way. Every beautiful second she spent with her sons, she started capturing it in her DSLR camera. She never took time to learn how to actually use a DSLR camera. Then she began learning very fast, discovered editing, read lot of books, watched hundreds of You Tube tutorials and started clicking. She is still learning, experimenting, trying to find her own unique way.

Iwona enjoys photography as it made her stop and watch the world closer. She tries to look at it with her boys eyes, loves to capture the curiosity and amazement in their eyes as they discover the world. She feels that this is just a beginning of a lifetime adventure.

Anne Geddes – 1956

Geddes is known for her distinctive, stylised photographs of babies, which often incorporate floral imagery.

“The best images are the ones that retain their strength and impact over the years, regardless of the number of times they are viewed.”

“I think that emotional content is an image’s most important element, regardless of the photographic technique. Much of the work I see these days lacks the emotional impact to draw a reaction from viewers, or remain in their hearts.”

Henri Cartier-Bresson
